Dayo, a CPA and Attorney, has spent more than 20 years working in the non-profit sector. Dayo previously worked as a senior revenue agent in the IRS Exempt Organizations Division, auditing various types of non-profit organizations, including business leagues, fraternal organizations, social clubs, labor unions, public charities, hospitals, universities, and private foundations.
Since leaving the IRS, Dayo has continued to work in the non-profit sector, overseeing the tax reporting and compliance requirements of a university system, as senior director; and serving as in-house tax counsel for a national insurance company, and affiliated non-profit entities.
Dayo’s areas of interest include exempt status, unrelated business income, Chapter 42 excise taxes (excess benefit transactions, self-dealing, taxable expenditures, etc.), employment tax, governance, and mergers and acquisitions.
