Antitrust Law Practice
Webster, Chamberlain & Bean provides antitrust representation to trade associations, professional societies, and other non-profit organizations, as well as business corporations.
Our longtime involvement in advising non-profit membership organizations includes issues of membership, expulsion, providing of services to non-members, statistical reporting programs, standards and certification activities, codes of ethics, rights to discipline members, joint research, joint buying programs and government relations activities. We have developed antitrust compliance programs which include providing guidelines for meetings, attendance at meetings, as well as reviewing an organization's programs, meeting agendas and minutes.
In addition to counseling and assisting in antitrust compliance, we also have handled Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice investigations, which have included responding to subpoenas and other forms of requests for information, depositions, settlement negotiations, and trials.
